Public DNS records

DNS checker

Domain records, mail settings and clear findings.

apt get / dns↳ Public DNS records

The domain and selector are sent to apt get and public Cloudflare / Google DNS resolvers. The website is not scanned and DNS settings are not modified.

What we check

A, AAAA, CNAME, MX, NS, TXT, SOA, CAA. SPF is found in TXT, DMARC at _dmarc of the specified domain. For DKIM, enter the selector from your mail provider settings or a message’s DKIM-Signature header.

A published record does not confirm mail delivery, message signatures or website availability. This checks published records, rather than performing a full SPF/DMARC/DKIM audit.

Reading the results

Records are queried for the exact name you enter. NS, SOA and CAA may be set at a parent domain; inherited DMARC and CAA policies are not checked. Missing AAAA or CNAME alone is not an error.

This is a snapshot through public recursive resolvers, not a worldwide propagation check. Results may use a temporary cache for up to 60 seconds; the original lookup time is shown. Queries are not logged or saved to a history.
